    SUNY Erie Community College President Dr. Dan Hocoy and Buffalo Bills’ Hall of Fame Running Back Thurman Thomas today announced a new collaboration that will provide full scholarships for disadvantaged students enrolled at SUNY Erie.

    SUNY Erie Names Dr. Douglas Scheidt as New Provost

    SUNY Erie Community College President Dan Hocoy has announced the hiring of Dr. Douglas Scheidt as the College’s next Provost and Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs. Dr. Scheidt will assume his new role in January to replace retiring Provost Rick Washousky.

    State University of New York Chancellor Kristina M. Johnson honored six SUNY Erie Community College students with the 2018 SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence during a celebration for all SUNY student award winners in the Albany Capital Center in Albany, NY on April 10.

    Three SUNY Erie students earn annual Phi Theta Kappa honors

    Earlier this month, three SUNY Erie Community College students—Shamara Mackey Holmes, Ibtisam Omar and Austin Wheeler—were honored with awards from the Phi Theta Kappa Community College Honor Society, distributed to students and SUNY Erie representatives on March 6 at the New York State Museum in Albany, NY.

    The SUNY Erie men's basketball team are now Region III champions, and are set to dance against North Carolina's Louisberg in the first round of the NJCAA Division II Championship Tournament on March 20.

    Weekly Kats Wrap: SUNY Erie bowling set to host NJCAA National Championship

    After snaring second and seventh place in their mid-February Region III Tournament, the SUNY Erie Community College men’s and women’s are now ready to host its NJCAA National Championships on its home AMF Airport Lanes (3754 Genesee St., Cheektowaga) on March 2 (8 a.m.) and March 3 (8:30 a.m.).
