BUFFALO—The SUNY Erie Community College Athletics Department
announced the completion of its transition to Presto Sports, a web-hosting
organization that provides superior technology through various multi-level
platforms that includes statistics, news, and video directly to all Kats athletic supporters and followers.
“We are excited about our partnership with Presto and hope
it helps promote and generate further interest in ECC athletics moving
forward,” said ECC Athletics Director Peter Jerebko.
“I would be remiss not to mention and thank our own internet
technology department for the design and support of our athletics site over the
years. Of all the colleges that continue to support their athletic sites internally
without collaboration, the site we had that was designed by software specialist
Lida Mosovich put ECC in a distinct advantage in terms of drawing viewership and
engaging followers through its design and functionality."
According to Presto’s website, the web-hosting company takes
pride in the usability, stability and functionality of individual products that
all work together to deliver team information in several forms, easily and
reliably. Presto also allows teams within divisions and conferences to share
information more readily through single platforms by collaborating with other
athletic website subscribers.
The Kats become the fifth Western New York Athletic
Conference team to partner with Presto and the 15th in the National Junior
Collegiate Athletic Association’s Region III. Overall, Presto hosts hundreds of
colleges and universities from the junior college level to Division I schools.
In addition, they also provide sites for many college conferences, divisions or
regions that include 11 at the NJCAA level, including NJCAA Region III where
the Kats participate.
Since 1946, Erie
Community College has met the needs of a diverse student body while
contributing to the economic vitality of Western New York. As a member of the
state’s SUNY system, the three-campus college provides flexible, affordable and
accessible educational programs in an accommodating academic environment.
Equipped with the knowledge of these programs, ECC’s faculty, staff and
students strive to enrich their host communities through skill, service and
partnership. For more information, visit www.ecc.edu or call (716) 851-1ECC.
