EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES PROVIDER

Program Description

The EmergencyMedical Services Provider certificate is designed for both the career and volunteer provider.

This new certificate will require students to complete the SUNY general education courses which are available at all campuses.

This certificate will ensure that the student completes core development courses inmath, science, humanities, social science, EMT and other fields to be better rounded students and lifelong learners.

The EmergencyMedical Services Provider certificate, in conjunction with successful completion of the Paramedic certificate, will enable the student to receive a SUNY Associate of Applied Science degree.

Special Requirements

  • Individuals must be 18 years old to receive New York State EMT certification
  • Applicants must be physically fit in order to provide prehospital emergency medical care
  • Applicants must not have any felony convictions or current charges
